This is Sarah’s fourth year as Camp Butwin Director, and 20th summer at Camp Butwin! Sarah’s Camp Butwin experience has taken her through the ranks of camper, C.I.T., counselor, Program Director and Director. Sarah holds a B.A. from Coe College in Iowa and worked in the Social Work field before rejoining the JCC team in 2013. Sarah knows first-hand what a gift the Camp Butwin experience is in a child's life and that the values stay with you as an adult, too. She brings a wealth of talent and knowledge that promises to make summer 2017 an amazing and unforgettable experience for your camper!
This is Tracey's fifth year as Assistant Camp Director at Camp Butwin. In addition to overseeing programming at camp, Tracey makes sure everything we do is touched with Jewish ideas and values. As part of her role, Tracey coordinates and supervises our summer shlichim (emissary) program with our Israeli specialty staff, as well as our famed camp specialists. Tracey looks forward to sunny days, conquering new challenges, making new friends (and welcoming back friends we have missed), laughing, singing and learning together.
This is Ned’s second summer as the fearless leader of our Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.) program, and he is no stranger to these woods! Ned attended Camp Butwin as a child, served as our Outdoor Adventure Ropes Director from 2011-2013 and as a Program Director in 2014. Ned attended the University of Minnesota at Morris and has a multitude of experience working with children and teens. In addition to coordinating our esteemed Counselor-In-Training (C.I.T.) program, Ned also coordinates our All-Camp Friday programs and oversees our Outdoor Adventure high and low ropes courses.
This is Ahna’s first year as Inclusion and Accessibility Coordinator at Camp Butwin. Ahna graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse with a degree in Recreation and an emphasis in Adaptive Recreation. Ahna has spent numerous summers working and interning for inclusive camps around the country, and is excited to bring all her knowledge and skills to Camp Butwin this summer. In the summer when she isn’t at camp, you can find Ahna enjoying the great outdoors kayaking, frisbee golfing and even rock climbing! Ahna’s role includes managing our unique Club Kulanu program, guiding our talented Inclusion Facilitators, and making sure every camper, regardless of abilities, has a positive camp experience.
